Junior Development

The difficulty and commitment at this level will once again increase; this level will determine the future pathway for gymnasts and identify those who have the abilities to aspire to the Elite Path.  Routines are both compulsory and optional in content with requirement for difficulties set by BG and YGA.  This will be the first opportunity gymnasts will have to gain selection for representing Yorkshire at a National Final.

Senior

This is a high level in the BG and YGA program.  As the difficulty requirements are high, commitment, dedication and increased training times are necessary to compete at this level.  Gymnasts will compete both compulsory and optional routines, at a Regional and National level.

Training Times
Wednesday – 6.00 to 8.30
Thursday – 6.00 to 8.30
Saturday – 09.30 to 3.30

Elite

This is the highest level of gymnastics in Great Britain.   A relatively few number of British clubs actually have this level of athlete or the coaching and resources to facilitate this. Here at HGC we are proud to have gymnasts who are training in this program and have been developed through our system.

This level requires an intense training regime with a high level of dedication and commitment from the gymnasts and their families. The difficulty is very high at this level which means that only a select few (Top 5% in the country) will have the necessary abilities to participate. Gymnasts at this level must be VERY strong and flexible. Gymnasts will compete at events both regionally and nationally (including the British Championships each Year).

Training Times
Wednesday – 18.00 to 20.30
Thursday – 17.30 to 20.30
Saturday – 09.30 to 3.30
Sunday – 09.30 to 12.30

(Please note Elite Gymnasts may also be invited to attend an additional session on a Friday 17.30 to 20.30)
Yorkshire Squad

HGC has a number of gymnasts in Yorkshire squad.  Gymnasts are selected by the club to attend the Yorkshire Squad Trial based on their strength, flexibility, commitment ,attitude and competiton results.

Training Times
Vary but are usually on a Sunday from 2pm
